Concert 4TK: An Open Mic to Support Knight’s Night

By Michael Beaumont

On April 21st, 2018, senior Theatre major Allison Feinstein held an open mic music event called the Concert 4TK at The Knights of Columbus to fundraise money for the children at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Friends and families made donations to enter the concert, enjoy refreshments served by the staff, and listen to live music performed by special guests like The Speekers. Many attendees also joined the fun by getting up on stage themselves and performing live sets for the audience. Those who didn’t sing planned stand-up comedic acts, entered the raffle to win door prizes, or simply played billiards in the nearby backroom.

Feinstein’s ultimate goal was to raise money to help fund Knight’s Night, another upcoming charity event whose proceeds would be sent to CHOP. Feinstein has been making a huge effort to make this event possible by initiating several fundraisers like Concert 4TK and creating original buttons to be sold around the school.
